Nobis Agri Science is seeking a dedicated and hard-working individual who is concerned about our business and the quality of the products it manufactures.  The Controller candidate must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. The Controller position creates financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The Controller also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy.

  • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors.
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Managing the budget process.
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
  • Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing.
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits.
  • Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account.
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintain the petty cash fund.
  • Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company‚Äôs financial statements.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
  • Focus and accuracy
  • Associate's degree in accounting or business administration, and at least five years relevant experience.
  • Possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the QuickBooks accounting software package and whom possess a certified public account (CPA) license.
  • Efficient and thorough work habits with skills to prioritize tasks.
  • Skills to manage time to complete all tasks with minimal supervision.
