Nobis Agri Science has an excellent career opportunity for a Grain and Ingredient Merchandiser. Be part of an expert team inside of a reputable, financially stable, long term player in the animal nutrition business. In this role, you will be mentored and will work with existing clients and work to forge new relationships and develop new business.  The successful candidate will have the qualifications and desire to provide first class customer service and innovative solutions to modern, large herd dairies that result in successes for the dairy producer.



  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with farmers and other business contacts.
  • Inform buyers of market conditions of the products we sell.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Arrange for the transportation of the product sold so that it is at the delivery location when needed.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with ingredients and/or deliveries and responds quickly to errors.
  • Sells feed ingredients according to dietary requirements of customers’ livestock.
  • Works with the Credit Department to assure payment from customers.
  • Works with Accounting Department to assure paperwork is processed in a timely manner and error free.
  • Prepares paperwork associated with loads and maintains new/current information in the computer database.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Maintains position reports of certain assigned products and keeps these reports current and cleaned up.
  • Sell Company produced product and offers these products to all customer in the marketplace.
  • Works with other parts of the organization and offers help when needed.
  • Other projects and tasks as requested.



  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science, Finance, or a related field; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience with hedging, trading, and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating System, MS Explorer; MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Experience in Logistics and Agriculture.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, billing and collections.
  • Must be detail oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers/departments, including phone & email etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proven project management experience and coordination of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work independently with exceptional organization skills.
  • A passion for the dairy industry and cows.

  • Total compensation will be base salary + discretionary performance bonus
