COVID-19 Nobis Agri Science Update

3/24/2020

We are Committed to Communication, Especially During a Viral Outbreak.

As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread across the globe, we want to reassure you that Nobis Agri Science is doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our employees, each of you and your teams, and minimize service disruptions.

As we provide essential ingredients, animal feed that nourishes animals, we are taking this responsibility very seriously and strive to keep our operations - and yours - running efficiently.
Our values - to do the right thing, put people first, and reach higher together - are guiding every decision we make, including keeping our production facilities open. Our teams are working diligently to monitor the situation as we plan and execute robust business continuity plans.

Although we do not plan on any infections happening here at Nobis Agri Science, if we do face any COVID-19 in our operations, we may have to scale down activities or adjust shift patterns, however we believe most of our facilities will continue to run in accordance with safety practices and regulations. To lessen the possibility of infections in our company, we have implemented a work from home policy for those this is possible for until further notice.

Until we know more, we will be limiting our face-to-face interactions and prioritizing virtual communication whenever possible. If an urgent farm visit is required to essential animal health needs, we will take extra precautions to protect our business and yours from unforeseen disruptions.

What Else are We Doing During this Time of Uncertainty?

Because the situation is changing so rapidly, we are committed to communicating with you to keep you updated on any impacts to you, and how we are working to minimize those impacts.
Additionally, if how we normally service you needs to change in any manner (e.g. alternate delivery locations) due to this evolving situation, please notify your Nobis Agri Science representative immediately.

We are going to work through this together to keep our people safe, minimize service disruptions, and help fight the spread of the outbreak.

Nobis Agri Science has engaged local, state, and federal officials, both directly and in partnership with industry associations, to advocate for our operations and the operations of our suppliers and customers - both retail and industrial - to be designated as "essential businesses" and therefore exempt from any mandated closures or operational restrictions.

Resulting from this proactive advocacy, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), issued broad guidance for the food, feed, and agriculture industry to be considered essential. Specifically, this guidance includes "pet and animal feed processing facilities" and "manufacturing and distribution of animal feed ingredients, feed, and bedding". This Guidance from CISA will help ensure that Nobis Agri Science and the entirety of our supply chain remain operational.

As the crisis unfolds, Nobis Agri Science will continue to use its voice to advocate on behalf of the entire agriculture industry.

For Locations with a "Shelter-in-Place" Order

The state of Michigan is under a shelter-in-place order and during a time like this, we look to our noble purpose of nourishing the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way to guide us.

In light of the Governor's executive order, we have asked those involved in operations to report to work as normally scheduled and those who have remote work capabilities will do so based on previous arrangements.

The health and safety of our employees is extremely important as is continuing to provide you with uninterrupted service.

We are committed to communicating with you on any potential impacts to your business as a result of this situation.
